The Phoenix Team
Course & Obstacle Designer - Jason Phy
As a master carpenter, building obstacles comes natural to Jason. He has competed in over 150 races across the US and combines his knowledge of OCR, fitness and carpentry to bring an awesome course.
"I want our races to have an element of surprise, that oh $hi+ moment where you are not even sure how to tackle the obstacle." - Phy comments with laughter.
Jason is a father and woodworking craftsman. He enjoys video games, his dog and the outdoors when he is not on the course.
His obstacle layout is always well thought through to bring the right amount of difficulty and uniqueness to his signature courses.
Race Director - Julie Wolff
Julie is a mom and marketing professional. She fell in love with all things OCR after her first race in 2016. She co-founded OCRaddix and continues to be an active part of the team.
"My goal as a race director is to host phenomenal events that provide a fun atmosphere, innovative course and challenge all fitness levels. The Phoenix Race is very symbolic of what we have been through in the last year and we will rise in 2021 to be a brand that racers will be eager to get to." Said Wolff.
Outside of OCR, Julie is active in her gym as a trainer and motivator, enjoys the outdoors, kayaking, traveling and graphic design.
