The Phoenix Team
Course & Obstacle Designer Jason Phy As a master carpenter, building obstacles comes natural to Jason. He has competed in over 150 races across the US and combines his knowledge of OCR, fitness and carpentry to bring an awesome course. "I want our races to have an element of surprise, that oh $hi+ moment where you are not even sure how to tackle the obstacle." - Phy comments with laughter. Jason is a father and woodworking craftsman. He enjoys crime tv, his dog, his family and the outdoors when he is not on the course. His obstacle layout is always well thought through to bring the right amount of difficulty and uniqueness to his signature courses. #OhPhyk |

Race Director - Julie Wolff
Julie is a mom and entrepreneur. She fell in love with all things OCR after her first race in 2016. She co-founded OCRaddix and continues to be an active part of the team. Julie is an entrepreneur with an insane hustle in all her business endeavors. "My goal as a race director is to host phenomenal events that provide a fun atmosphere, innovative course and challenge all fitness levels, to make an economic impact on communities and have the best finisher swag in the sport. HEATHER COX
Heather Cox has been racing OCR since 2012, her first race run with her roller derby teammates. She hung up her skates and took her hot shorts to the mud. Heather got to run races now just a memory, including Super Hero Scramble, Atlas Race, Battlegrounds, Shale Hill, and Battlefrog. The “race and roll” was her forte. If asked she would tell you she never met a road trip she didn’t like. Along with her love of mud is body building. She competed for 3 years (2017-2019), earning her Pro card through OCB and winning 2 Pro shows. But the enticing song of the mud lured her fully back into the mud in 2021. Heather showed up and fell in love with Phoenix Race and the people who are a part of it. She believes strong is the new sexy and she is looking forward to seeing new faces on the course and the challenges this new year brings. |
CINDY HERBERT
Cindy lives in Franklin, TN with her husband and three kids. She is a hairstylist but that took a smaller place in her life when kids entered the picture. Fitness has been a part of Cindy’s life since childhood, first with soccer and basketball and later with running and racing. She loves a physical challenge and has dabbled in triathlons, half marathons, ninja warrior and trail races among other things. However, finding OCR in 2018 was life changing. OCR is the most fun and engaging challenge she has found so far but she is always looking for new ways to push her body and mind. She enjoys cooking, reading, camping, and doing crafts when she isn’t training. |
